Treat Your Body, Ease Your Mind, Lift Your Spirit

TAE KWON DO

Tae Kwon Do means the path of hands and feet. It is a martial art that was developed in Korea by Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi. General Choi's vision was to spread Tae Kwon Do throughout the world in order to develop peace among nations.

Karen is a 2nd Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been practicing since 2005. For her, this martial art is beneficial in moving qi (energy) for the mind, body and spirit. The physical body aspect of this art is obvious because it can be a strenuous form of exercise. The mind aspect is developed in the technique and the specific patterns that are performed as one move's further up the rank.  The spirit aspect is fulfilled through the dedication and practice of an art. One that has meaning, history and intention to carry on the message of world peace.
